Dear Beautiful Human, Lee’s Corner on KIT® is my small step toward building a place for shared inquiry — a community where meaningful connection with friends, family, and new acquaintances grows into networks of care and camaraderie in the lives we each inhabit. You can reply directly to this email. I read and respond to all I receive. Your responses are welcome — private, or shared with the whole. When I was a teacher in LAUSD, one of the largest public school systems in the U.S., I was introduced to project-based learning — a way of getting curious together. For me, an introvert by nature and an extrovert by trade, this way of learning felt so vibrant and alive. I think of it as a STREAM. Like a round we sang as children — one voice begins, others join in, each at their own pace and tone. Somehow, harmony (and even dissonance) finds its rhythm, and the whole becomes richer than any one voice alone. STREAM invites exploration through: Sciences, Technologies, Relationships, Engineering, The Arts, and Mathematics — with your entry point always guided by your own curiosity. Our first step into the STREAM together is through Derek Rydall’s A Whole New Human. While the initial live gathering has passed, the work — and the inquiry — are very much alive. At a time that can feel chaotic, cathartic, and at times absurd, this work invites us to return to our humanity — with openness, curiosity, and a beginner’s mind grounded in an open heart. A small shift — like a trim tab — can turn the whole vessel. Derek created the following quizzes as a way to explore where you are and where you might grow: You may also find yourself reflecting on this: Is AI (artificial intelligence)… or IA (infinite awareness), simply reversed? Perhaps it depends on how we choose to engage — with awareness, care, and responsibility. When we live with open hearts and aware minds, something steadies. We begin to recognize what uplifts, what connects, what heals. It doesn’t have to be the road less traveled alone anymore. Let’s begin. With love, Lee |
